Dr. Blair, the professor to one of my previous creative writing classes, required the class to turn in a short story or part of a novel or novella. I originally wanted to make this story a novella with only two parts to it. Dr. Blair was intrigued with the story so much that he thought it needed to be expanded into a novel. So at the moment, this is categorized as a novel that is a work in progress. Peers also liked the idea but also suggested for me to expand on it as the pace of the story seemed too quick for them. The story itself is set in the future and about a fictional hero from our time who has awakened from cryogenic sleep with no clue of how he got there. The main character of the story, Jake, who has no idea what she is in for as she discovers more about the mysterious hero.
