I. History

Harbinger hails from an ancient alien race. Little is known about the actual race as it predates most species documented in the cosmos. Long ago “The Outsiders”, the race who monitors Nervo and his mechanized home planet Helo, stumbled upon this being and saw his natural abilities as a weapon worth using against unexpected threats interfering with their mission to unite the entire universe as one under their control.

It is unknown why The Outsiders feel obligated to carry out the responsibility of such a task, but Harbinger’s homeworld Mata was an example of why they deemed it necessary. Strife for resources grew so paramount on the planet that it resulted in a never ending war among their people. The damage was so catastrophic, survivors ventured out to neighboring planets and started taking control of them one at a time, causing war on those planets as well. Harbinger’s alien race had the ability to manipulate their bodies into all three phases of matter – solid, liquid, and gas. With this ability, they were nearly an unopposable force.

Planets who grew weary of the alien race’s tactics conspired against them and created a unified force to wipe their existence from the cosmos. Harbinger was the only survivor found by The Outsiders years after the incident. He used his abilities to such a degree that he was able to disguise himself as another alien race, which kept him hidden for years. An incident happened with the family he established posing as another alien race and used his abilities to take revenge on the people who harmed them. One of The Outsiders spotted this on the planet he was on and reported it to his superiors.

Since that day, The Outsiders used technology eons before its time to wipe Harbinger’s memory clean of any remnants of his past life and became a herald who struck fear in anyone who would oppose his oppressors. Once he is sent to a world, its inhabitants know it is the end of any type of freedom they once knew. He establishes resistance power a planet has by testing its champions and reporting their weaknesses back to The Outsiders before they take control of the situation, annihilating all those who stand in their way.

II. Personality

Harbinger is extremely disciplined, focusing only on the task at hand. He can do reconnaissance missions for The Outsiders by changing the structure of his body to match the average look or DNA of a planet’s inhabitants. Infiltrating any organized sect, government affiliation, or group is feasible to him.

Programming from various technologies makes Harbinger worship The Outsiders like gods. Their word is absolute. Harbinger’s real form is a dark teal color. He doesn’t have skin nor hair, but a smooth substance that is forever in motion. It’s attributes resembles concepts like the suit of Spawn or Killer Instinct’s Glacius. His figure is shaped like the human body but does not possess toes, fingers, nor eyes unless changing himself to another species. His hollow eye sockets make him look like a terrifying, soulless being who wanders the universe as a forgotten.

III. Abilities, Powers, Skills…

Harbinger can transition his body into all three states of matter. Each form has different abilities and transitioning between states allows for extra perks he can utilize.

Solid

Can change the density of his particles to affect his overall mass. For example, he can be light and have the thickness of a material like wood or become heavier and hit hard like steel.

When running, he can be an unstoppable force not affected by any type of assault, bulldozing any obstacles in his way.

Changing his density also allows him to fly or float as fast as a current takes him.

Liquid and Solid Transition

Can become a liquid state infiltrating someone’s pores or open area on their skin and then harden where they become immobile, blocking airways for oxygen and killing them.

Can create various weapons by morphing parts of his body to a liquid state and turning it solid, shaping it to a lethal object.

Can simply repair damage by changing the harmed part of his body to a liquid and reshaping it to its original solid state as if it wasn’t hit.

Has mastered the transition to such a degree, he can disguise himself as someone else down to the minute details.

Can perform fission by splitting off an appendage in liquid state and solidifying it into a clone of himself. This ability limits the functions of his original body, however and the clone’s size becomes proportionate to the amount he split off from himself.

Can create wings and for himself and lighten his mass to be able to fly like a bird.

Liquid

Can infiltrate a person’s body and take control of it in a liquidus state.

If in someone’s body, he can also expand from within by using their blood as a catalyst causing them to burst from the inside.

Can make his size larger by combining his liquid state with another element that also has a liquid form such as the ocean and become it entirely.

Can suck the moisture out of anything and incorporate it into his body chemistry.

Liquid and Gas Transition

Can disperse and control the moisture of air, making it dry or dense to become difficult for people to breathe.

Can become water vapor, forming with the cumulus clouds in the air and spread his essence across a whole region for multiple purposes. Allows him to have eyes and ears almost everywhere as the moisture in the air are microscopic versions of himself. It can either be for spying, infiltration or having a droplet of himself affect a small function of someone’s body such as the pathway to arteries, and kill them.

Can control the pH level of aqueous solutions, making it very toxic.

Gas

Can combine with the air in the surrounding atmosphere infiltrating a person’s lungs.

Can utilize and combine with other gases in the air to make a potent substance deadly to inhale.

Can suck the air out of the atmosphere and make it rise, causing oxygen deprivation to species that need it to survive it.

Gas and Solid Transition

Can accelerate his particles so fast he can phase through solid objects and revert back to his original solid state after phasing.

Can phase through material by using a portion of his body and can use the other portion as a solid to the part of his body not phasing. For example, when fighting he can phase through a person but while still phasing land a blow with his free hand not currently phasing through the person’s body.

Due to Harbinger’s unnaturally long life extended by The Outsider’s technology, he has unparalleled fighting experience and can use his abilities flawlessly.

IV. Allies/ Enemies

When the heroes on earth decide to develop into an organization called “ The Guardians” to take down Nervo, The Outsiders take note of this. Individually, they didn’t believe a single champion on earth posed a threat. But together, The Outsiders foresaw their potential threat to Nervo and their goals. As a pre-calculated tactic, they send Harbinger to earth to aid Nervo in his endeavor.

However, Nervo comes to relate to Harbinger. As individuals both forced to work for false gods against their will, Nervo appeals to an inner desire Harbinger thought was lost. The desire to be free. Nervo uses his telepathic abilities to return Harbinger’s old memories of his past and eliminate the influence The Outsider’s technology had on his mind. They continue to act as if they obey The Outsider’s every command until they can find the right opportunity to oppose them and be the sole rulers of the cosmos – free from any control from the universe’s laws or tyrants. Little does Harbinger know that Nervo is also manipulating him to serve his own end to be the only domineering figure of all worlds.

Harbinger deems “The Guardians” as enemies.

Harbinger has an extreme weakness to below zero or above boiling point temperatures.

V. Creation and Development

Harbinger is a villain from Tatum Games created and developed by Reginald Andah to further expand “The Guardian” series. Inspirations of Harbinger’s character comes from Marvel’sSilver Surfer to Killer Instinct’s Glacius.

Harbinger acts as an omen for end times. His character as a catalyst for an even bigger threat known as “The Outsiders”.

VI. Trivia

If Harbinger’s body isn’t in contact with any form of matter for a period of time, he dies. Therefore, he cannot survive in space.

Harbinger can eat, drink, and has the anatomy of any living thing his body assumes the form of but does not need these things to stay alive.

Harbinger’s alien race was classified as viruses by most neighboring species due to their abilities and impulsive nature to invade and destroy planets.
