I.History

Jackel, the “Amusing Sinner” is the sole leader of a deadly, laugh-until-you-die motley crew of clowns known as, Klown Krew. This crew loves to cause wanton destruction around town and they a strange ability to make people just break down laughing at the sight of carnage and violence – a laughter that will usually end in death.

Seeming to be a thin, wiry and very over-the-top caricature, Jackel is that creepy clown from people’s nightmares. He does not have any goals or intentions for his actions and there is no logic or reasons for why he does what he does. He seems to only have a perpetual (and rather creepy, considering what he does) smile present on his face.

II. Personality

Viiolence follows Jackel everywhere he goes, and despite all the chaos he causes he always finds ways to express himself with a mix of black comedy and audience shock. Refreshingly selfish, his concerns include inflatable hammers, green or purple hair, hand buzzers and a vocabulary of colorful language.

His personality resembles a lot of his late father when he used to engage in his drunken stupors. With the exception of his appearance, his mimicry of his late father is identical. His words can become slurred and incoherent, he laughs in the most disturbing situations, and he finds joy in other people’s pain.

There is not a trace of a sensible man in Jackel. Many have tried to reason with him only to fall on deaf ears. His street smarts and intellect allows him to manipulate others out of any situation he’s in. This includes purposely getting caught by the authorities at one point only to stage a prison raid with followers of his insane cult-like group to inflict torture on both the prisoners and guards. His behavior, thoughts, and actions are so erratic that he intimidates some of the most seasoned veterans in law enforcement. A bounty has been placed for his capture but to no avail. Most are too frightened to ever encounter such an embodiment of chaos.

III. Abilities, Powers, Skills…

Jackel’s powers all center around laughter. He has the power to make almost anyone do what he wants since he is such a manipulative individual. Although he does have to get his hands dirty sometimes rather than just talking or laughing his way to success. And when he does have to get his hands dirty, the results are usually quite bloody and the outcome is always a gut-wrenching degree of disgusting. Whether it’s bludgeoning a body with his trusty crowbar or one of his many homemade grenades the result of Jackel getting his hands dirty is always a consistently terror-inducing one.

IV. Allies/ Enemies

Jackel’s only enemies are those sad and humorless folks. As someone who loves laughter and the leader of a “laugh-until-you-die” gang of clowns, laughter and humor are central to his life and as such, he detests those sad people who cannot laugh and don’t have a sense of humor. No matter what “reason” they claim to have for lacking a sense of humor, a lack of humor is a lack of humor and those people are Jackel’s sworn foes for their utter lack of any kind of appreciation of the fine art that is humor.

V. Creation and Development

Jackel arose from the personification of deranged clowns following pop culture media such as the movie “It” and even “The Joker”. A villain devoid of humanity is enough of a danger. However, Jackel is the living embodiment of chaos with no type of motive behind his actions.

Various creators and writers tackle what it would be like to put a person filled with darkness in a world already mixed with grey. Due to his solely selfish desires and utter lack of conscience, he is an irredeemable character who refuses to act on any other interest other than his own.

VI. Trivia

Jackel refuses to harm anyone who carries a stuff toy or wears a fake red nose. However, this doesn’t stem from any sort of morality. In the past, his uncle would visit him as a boy on the farm he grew up in. He gave him a stuffed toy he acquired from a circus one day in the image of a clown. Jackel became fond of the toy since it always smiled.

His father was often frustrated due to the lack of crop yield he had to produce. His mother became depressed because of the smell of alcohol his father would consume when he’d have his fits about the crops. His uncle came by to help him when he could and his mother confided in him, since her husband became distant. She even grew to regret having Jackel when her and her husband could barely support themselves.

One day on a Christmas, Jackel was watching “Rudolph” on the television in the living room while wearing a toy replica of the bright red, well known trademark on his own nose. His father found out his brother, Jackel’s uncle, had an affair with his own wife. Jackel heard the sounds of his uncle and mother murdered while he fixated his attention on the television, trying to block it out.

He hated his family for ruining his innocent, happy childhood. While growing up with his maddened father, he was constantly abused, making him develop both mental and social disorders. When he became older, he bludgeoned his father with a crowbar, which remains one of his favorite weapons of choice to murder with.
